Asher Platts, running his second campaign for Maine Senate, has again endorsed the Unified Platform and is taking the support garnered in his previous run to what he believes will be a game-changing campaign in 2014.

Easy to spot in his lime-green glasses - a tip of the hat to his party affiliation - Platts supports the establishment of a State bank, increased taxes on the rich, election reform, getting money out of politics, student loan forgiveness and tuition-free state universities, single-payer healthcare, increasing the minimum wage, establishment of a maximum wage for CEOs, and host of other remedies which together are a holistic approach to mending our social safety net and weaving stronger fabric in our communities.
