  • In September we published “The war in Afghanistan was far, far different from how it has been depicted in American media.” This article traces the tragic Vietnam mistakes we remade over a 20 year period. It cost us dearly in lives, money, lost opportunity costs to rebuild our nation, and lost international influence for decades.

  • In September the New Progressive Alliance published an article and YouTube video showing how Trudeau has fooled Canadians into thinking he is fighting climate change while fully cooperating with fossil fuel interests. Alas, democrats in the United States and leaders of most other countries have copied the Trudeau Formula. Unfortunately, climate change proceeds on physics and not politics. Future generations will be very unforgiving.
  • In September we published “How America Made Osama Bin Laden’s Dream Come True.” We failed badly in Afghanistan and all our wars since 1953.
  • The Cascadia Progressive Forum has consistently refused to post from the New Progressive Alliance so we will stop trying to post there. Possibly they are a sponsored by the Democratic Party and tolerate no criticism.

  • In September we published “9/11 was a test. The books of the last two decades show how America failed.”

In this interview, he talks about his new book, which chronicles how U.S. administrations repeatedly failed to act in response to scientists’ increasingly dire warnings.
  • The New Progressive Alliance made Public Comment 233 to the Federal Aviation Administration supporting SpaceX in an Environmental Assessment. Space X operations have a negligible effect on the environment. We oppose the continual expansion of and giving huge subsidies to fossil fuels which constitute the real danger to the environment. The Public Comment may be found in full at https://www.newprogs.org/public_comments_2020_224
  • In September we published “Analysis Shows Facebook Allows 99% of Climate Disinformation to Go Unchecked - The new study coincided with Facebook's new initiative to combat climate lies, which civil society groups criticized as "too little, too late." This Facebook description closely matches the eleven year experience of the New Progressive Alliance.
  • In September we published “Ukraine Showdown” by Jeff Roby who recently passed away. The article warns against the United States fixation on war. He wrote and maintained the Green Party of Florida website and wrote many insightful articles over the years giving the big picture. • In October we published “1000 companies driving the world towards climate chaos.” We are expanding – not contracting coal usage. Future generations may be very unforgiving.
  • In October we published “Global Update: Climate target updates slow as science demands action.” We are running out of time to address climate change.
  • In October we published “Deathly Silence: Journalists Who Mocked Assange Have Nothing to Say About CIA Plans to Kill Him” and “PATRICK LAWRENCE: Instead of a Free Press.” Freedom of the press only as long as they publish non-controversial subjects does not mean the press is free.
  • In October we published “Kidnapping, assassination and a London shoot-out: Inside the CIA's secret war plans against WikiLeaks.” As long as Assange is imprisoned the United States has no moral right to criticize other nations for lack of press freedom.
  • In October we joined the Clean Budget Coalition for a tweet storm calling on federal lawmakers to remove the dark money poison pill riders from FY 22 appropriations legislation.
  • In October the New Progressive Alliance joined with other organizations to urge Senator Peters (D-MI) to hold a historic markup hearing on S.51 to elevate the call for D.C. statehood and advance the bill so that we may deliver equal representation to the 700,000 mostly Black and Brown residents of Washington, D.C.

We along with Amnesty International and the United Nations support whistle blowers and human rights activists such as Donziger and Assange. To find out more about the case see reference 566 at https://www.newprogs.org/whistleblowers_under_the_democratic_republican_uniparty Our letter is in Public Comment 234 at https://www.newprogs.org/public_comments_2020_224
  •  In November we published the updated “Make your Case with the United Nations on Climate Change.” It has the COP history and described how to be involved with the U.N. on climate change through the New Progressive Alliance. While inadequate and needing the assistance of many organizations such as Extinction Rebellion to make needed future progress, some small steps were made.
  • In November we made Public Comment 235 to the Federal Insurance Office to make insurance accountable for their part in climate change. Insurance companies are fueling climate change. They provide coverage for fossil fuel wells, pipelines, and refineries. They also invest billions into companies that produce fossil fuels. Insurance companies are uniquely vulnerable to the impacts of climate change and yet they continue to insure new fossil fuel wells, pipelines, and refineries that will only make the climate crisis worse. It is necessary to hold insurance companies accountable for the harm they cause to vulnerable communities as they take advantage of and contribute to the climate crisis. Public Comment 235 in full is found at https://www.newprogs.org/public_comments_2020_224
  • In November we published “Ten Reasons for Optimism on Climate Change.” There are signs of hope for climate change. This battle is not yet over.

  • The New Progressive Alliance article on the environment has over 5,000 references spread into different categories such as global warming, coal, fossil fuel corruption and dishonesty, killing of environmentalists, water problems, and others. To make access easier we will have one central article on the environment with connections to NPA articles in the other 20 areas. Applicable references will be in each of the articles on other areas of the environment and dead references will be deleted. This is a big job that won’t be finished until 2022, but then it will be a more user friendly reference.
  • After updating the environment article in 2022 we will also begin to search for other places on Facebook and Twitter to regularly post articles supporting the NPA Unified Platform.
  • After celebrating the 11th anniversary of the founding of the New Progressive Alliance on December 16, on New Year’s Eve we posted the 2021 Annual Report. Season’s Greetings and Happy New Year to all!
