The Unified Platform: A Certified Hit!!

Posted by Anthony Noel · March 14, 2015 2:57 PM

The heart of the New Progressive Alliance is the Unified Platform. It is the basis of our approving candidates, allies, and Public Comments on specific policy recommendations. It is also the basis of disapproving documentation on candidates and organizations at Don’t Let These People or Organizations Fool You.

If you agree with us, then we as a 501c4 Educational Organization would like to help you. Please use Make Your Case to help you document with over 10,000 references which are continuously added to and updated as well as many other resources. You may use anything on our website without permission, though if it is helpful we hope you mention us to help others. Please let us know if you have any suggestions or additions.

Because we are in special consultative status with the U.N. Economic and Social Council we can offer volunteers a chance to attend meetings or write papers for the United Nations through the NPA. See So You Want to Volunteer for the United Nations.

We can have Peace! We can put People first! We can begin reversing the damage unbridled greed has already caused our precious Planet! Are you truly fed up, ready to stop complaining and start channeling your anger toward building a new America?

It will take a lot. Voting is important, but not enough. The New Progressive Alliance can operate as a poor man's think tank and supply documentation, but that is also not enough. It will also take year round effort, organizing on and off the streets, and coordinating with people we may not like.  Click Volunteer to get started!

Mann Endorses Unified Platform in School Board Run

Posted by Anthony Noel · April 10, 2014 5:01 AM

Former Minneapolis Mayoral candidate Doug Mann, running for Minneapolis School Board, 65A has endorsed the Unified Platform and earned our endorsement. He joins more than 60 independent and third-party candidates who have endorsed the platform's commonsense call for putting Peace, People and the Planet above profits.

You'll find Mann's writings here.

The New Progressive Alliance (NPA) s a 100-percent volunteer, educational organization comprised of ACTIVE ACTIVISTS dedicated to improving the lives of working men and women and their families by positively influencing public policy. We work to awaken Americans to the reality that only through supporting candidates who support our concerns will those concerns be met. Toward that end, we support the Unified Platform; participate in official public comment opportunities to regulatory agencies; and sponsor and partake in a host of events designed to raise public consciousness of the extent to which corporations maintain near-total control of the political and policy-making process in this country.

Visit this page often to learn what we're working on - and please, join our effort to put PEOPLE BEFORE PROFITS!

I.  News:

Publishing here means showing a reference to an article. We publish in Facebook at the New Progressive Alliance, Leftist Third Party and Independent Candidates, Greens Discuss the Issues, and Truth Bomb Activists. Because of problems with privacy and censorship on Facebook, we also publish on Twitter and Ilkmade. Connections to all of our allies may be found here. Our endorsed candidates for public office are listed here.

  • In January we reviewed the book The New Climate War: The Fight to Take Back our Planet by Dr. Michael E. Mann. We published the review for Amazon, the organization Extinction Rebellion, and in our recommended books list found in the NPA “Make your Case.”
  • In January we published the New Progressive Alliance article “Corporate Overreach” with over 430 references.
  • In January we published “22 disasters, 262 dead, $95bn in damages: US saw record year for climate-driven catastrophes.”
  • In January the New Progressive Alliance signed on with other organizations to support Representative Cori Bush’s draft resolution seeking an investigation of those House members that have supported Trump’s efforts to invalidate the 2020 election and incited the mob at the Capitol. We also asked for the immediate impeachment of Trump.
  • In January the New Progressive Alliance signed on with other organizations asking to expel members of the House of Representatives that enabled sedition and an attempted insurrection at the U.S. Capitol during the vote to confirm Biden as President.
  • In January we published an article showing Assange was not granted parole and called it unforgivable.
  • In January we published “Assange Wins. The Cost: The Crushing of Press Freedom.”  Our prosecution of whistleblowers will have severe consequences.

  • In January we published “The top 10 weather and climate events of a record-setting year - In an all-around bizarre and largely unpleasant calendar year, extreme weather and climate-related changes contributed to the woes of 2020.” Failure to address climate change will result in an ever worsening future.

  • On December 31, 2020 we published our 2020 Annual Report.

  • In December we celebrated the ten year anniversary of the New Progressive Alliance. We will continue to advance the principles of the New Progressive Alliance.
  • In December we published “Global Spotlight Report #34: Emission Level Changes Since 1990.” Outside of the countries of the European Union and Australia, most nations have seen increases in their CO2 emissions since 1990 – some significantly so.

  • In December we published “Neoliberal Champion Larry Summers Opens Mouth, Inserts Both Feet.”  What the United States is doing about COVID 19 and poverty is unconscionable.

  • In December we posted the article “Ohio Teachers Pension Fund Bought GM, Alibaba and Sold Tesla, Apple in Q3” and said people should lose their jobs over this erroneous decision.
  • There are many worthy causes, but climate change is what future generations will judge us most harshly for. In December we published a YouTube video of Dr. Mann describing how fossil fuels are using deflection, division, and despair mongering to win a desperate battle. Environmentalists are growing stronger and will win this.
  • In December we published an article showing we are worse off than reported.

  • In December we published a YouTube video showing we are following the same false path on the Trump virus as we are on climate change.
  • In December we published an article showing how prepared and how vulnerable each state is to climate change.

  • In December we published our NPA article “The Economy” with a companion article “Economic Graphs and Videos”  with a combined number of over 1,750 references.
  • In December we published “Chris Hedges: The Ruling Elite’s War on Truth.”

  • States that embrace renewable energy will tend toward prosperity. States that tend towards corruption and fossil fuels will not. In December we published an article showing Ohio going the wrong way.

  • In December we published our NPA article on the environment with over 5,000 references.
  • In December the New Progressive Alliance with other agencies and organizations wrote to President Elect Biden urging him to move swiftly and aggressively to restore regulatory protections rolled back under the Trump Administration.
  • In November the New Progressive Alliance signed on with other organizations to support DC statehood and a clean budget process for congress.
  • In November we published the New Progressive Alliance article “Widespread Police Misconduct and an Expanding Prison Population” with over 720 references.
  • In November we published the New Progressive Alliance article “The War on Whistleblowers” with over 520 references.
  • The New Progressive Alliance has had bad experiences with Facebook, but it even worse than we suspected. In addition to spreading known falsehoods about climate change, their algorithms tell users what they want to hear and play a huge part in disinformation and extremist groups. This applies to other social media as well. In November we mentioned this and published the website The Social Dilemma.

  • In November we published the New Progressive Alliance article “Continuous Wars”  with over 1,260 references.

  • In November we published the New Progressive Alliance article “Diminishing Transparency” with over 135 references.
  • In November we published “How Do You Know When Society Is About to Fall Apart? Meet the scholars who study civilizational collapse.”

  • In November we published “This Land Is Our Land: Trump's America, and Our America” showing both our potential for good and our potential for evil.

Candidates Who Support the Unified Platform

Posted on Blog by Ed Griffith · July 14, 2013 10:50 AM · 1 reaction

In 2012, the New Progressive Alliance (NPA) started by endorsing 54 candidates from 23 states who publicly endorsed and pledged to work for the commonsense policies outlined in the Unified Platform (UP).  This page provides more information about the brave men and women who are blazing the trail for the future of democracy in America. If you would like to join them check Elections and So You Want to Run for Office.  That trail is wholly different than that which the Democratic and Republican parties take us down election after election, with the same predictable result: A disenfranchised working class and ever-more enriched military-industrial-Wall Street complex.

We are a 501c4 educational organization, not a political party. We cannot help a candidate directly, but we can note by endorsement when a candidate pledges to support the Unified Platform. We can also disavow a candidate  when through his actions or statements it becomes clear he does not support the Unified Platform.

Also as a 501c4 educational organization, we are  moving towards becoming more of a think tank which supplies documentation to support people and organizations that back the Unified Platform. We will still list candidates that support the Unified Platform, but we will not seek them out.
