Since 2012 the New Progressive Alliance has made 100 Public Comments by ourselves or with other organizations in support of the Unified Platform.  

We believe it is important to spell out specific policy recommendations in additions to giving general guidelines in the Unified Platform and providing documentation in Make Your Case with Weblinks, Books, Radio, Plays, Videos, and the Unified Platform.

Michael J. Cavlan gave us this article by Matthew Reece. Michael  is working on building a Green Party in line with its 10 values. If we are to make meaningful changes then we must advance  beyond looking at the two major parties of the duopoly as a football game. It is more important to be right than to vote for a winning candidate that will keep us on the wrong path.

If one decided based on a lot of evidence that the Democratic and Republican Parties are not worth the effort, then what is left is the Green Party, by far the biggest party on the left. Other parties do not seriously run people and seem more like chess clubs who like to talk amongst themselves.

Unfortunately, the Green Party has managed many times, to change a Winston Churchill quote, "snatched defeat from the jaws of victory." The "old guard" Greens  resent newcomers and seemingly has the motto, "We have always done it that way."   Jeff and Rose Roby have devoted decades of service to the GP and to enlightening the rest of us, only to face the same Green Party frustration so many others of us have faced. Jeff has written elsewhere on the NPA blog. This is an interesting conversation I had with Rose.

Anthony Noel is  founder of the NPA and co-founder of the Greenville Guardian from which this article comes. He makes a good point here. The contrast in responses between armed white people taking over a federal facility and black people peacefully protesting at Ferguson and other places is stark and shocking. The New Progressive Alliance periodically makes Public Comments by itself or with other organizations to federal agencies and legislative bodies in the United States and Canada in support of the Unified Platform. They are reproduced here in full and also briefly mentioned with our other activities in the Annual Reports and under "News."  (We only publish comments after we can confirm them. Some of the comments here were initially submitted in 2015.)

• The New Progressive Alliance (NPA) continued to expand our organizational outreach and are now allied with 24 other national and international organizations.
• Facebook likes (readers who subscribe to our articles) have grown steadily and by the end of the year exceeded 1,500.
